Presenters Sought for CLOCC’s 20 x 20 and Roundtable Networking Event

Submission deadline extended!

The Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago Children (CLOCC) is soliciting presenters for our first-ever “20 x 20” Quarterly Meeting event! The Quarterly Meeting will be held at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago on Wednesday, March 16. Watch the calendar at for details. Utilizing the popular and visually-engaging “PechaKucha™” presentation format, we will explore work being done by local organizations to address the childhood obesity epidemic in Chicago. Each presentation will need to address at least one of the following focus areas:

  • Built Environment and Physical Activity
  • Business Sector2020
  • Early Childhood
  • Food Access
  • Health Promotion and Public Education
  • Policy and Advocacy
  • Research and Evaluation
  • School Systems

Additionally, presentations should focus on programs, resources or tools that can be replicated by other organizations or in other communities in order to advance obesity prevention strategies.

The event will include eight presentations, approximately six and a half minutes long. The presentations will be followed by two 30-minute roundtable discussion sessions, which will allow attendees to engage the presenters and learn more about their work and organizations. The 20 x 20 format includes 20 PowerPoint slides consisting of images only. Presenters will have 20 seconds to verbally provide the context or description for each slide, before the presentation automatically advances. Examples and ideas can be found here.

To submit your, or your organization’s, presentation idea for consideration in this 20 x 20 event, please complete the web form below.

Presenters should have proper ownership of all images and agree to share the presentations with CLOCC, and to have them hosted at

The 20 x 20 event serves to advance childhood obesity prevention within the context of CLOCC’s Blueprint, aligned with Healthy Chicago 2.0, by providing a forum where attendees can discover, understand and strengthen the collaborative impact of the work being done by our partners.
